He has a degree in biology from the University of California at Berkeley. He received a certificate for an internship in oral surgery at Emory University Medical School in Atlanta, and a certificate from the University of Washington Dental School for specialized dental care for the disabled. Dr. Williams has continued extensive post-graduate training in implant and cosmetic dentistry from leading centers throughout the country.

Before practicing in Federal Way, Dr. Williams moved around a lot. As the son of military parents, he has lived in 9 different states and spent 4 years in Japan. He and his wife Patricia, who is also a dentist, love the Northwest and enjoy outdoor activities of skiing, kayaking, scuba diving and hiking.

They had their first son Ty in 2009 and a daughter Sophie in 2010.
